• Craig Street Commons is currently home to organizations providing essential services, including childcare, education, disability support, recreation activities and programs for vulnerable residents. 

• Current tenants in Craig Street Commons include:

  • • Coast Karma, an independent school that specializes in supporting over 70 students, many with unique needs;

    • Bright Star Montessori and Kids Park Childcare that provide critical education and childcare services for children and allowing parents to work; 

    • Bonaventure, which provides disability support; 

    • RDN programs promoting community health and well-being. 

• The organizations at this property not only serve Parksville but the broader Oceanside area. 

• Retaining Craig Street Commons for public use is an investment in Oceanside’s social infrastructure. 

• Disposing of the site would make it nearly impossible for local governments to secure similar prime downtown land in the future. 

• The closure of Craig Street Commons would echo the loss of the Parksville Community Centre in 2020, and would be devastating for the community.
